Gotebo Get Down set for this weekend
Gotebo will be holding its 25th Annual Gotebo Get Down on September 4 at Penn Park. The day will begin with a motorcycle poker run with registration starting at 9 a.m. through 10:30 a.m. The last bike out will be at 10:30 a.m.
The parade will begin at 11 a.m. with all of the other festivities beginning afterwards. Festivities will include pony rides, an 18-foot inflatable water slide, a rock-climbing wall, a mechanical bull, cornhole and horseshoes tournament, Gotebo’s Got Talent contest, as well as a giant Connect Four tournament, food trailers, over 50 vendors, snow cones, funnel cakes, contests, and much more.
An auction will be held at 6 p.m., followed by a 25 Sky Lantern Release. The Release will feature 25 multi-colored Sky Lanterns filling the night skies to commemorate the 25th year this festival. To end the day, there will be a dance from 9 p.m. until midnight.
