Carnegie Tri-County Free Fair rescheduled for Oct. 22-23

September 08, 2021

The fun is back on the schedule for residents of southwestern Oklahoma.

Members of the Carnegie Tri-County Free Fair announced the show will happen - as in next month. Carnegie Tri-County Free Fair commission members voted to reschedule the show for the last week of October during a special meeting last week.

According to board members, the Fair will be condensed to a two-day show taking place on Oct. 22-23 at the park. The fair had initially been scheduled for mid-August but was postponed shortly before beginning due to the increase of COVID-19 activity in the community.

A fixture in the county for more than a century, the Tri-County Free Fair will be held for the first time since 2019. Last year's show was canceled due to the pandemic in an effort to help prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus.

"With the date in October, we can look forward to cooler temperatures outside with fall weather," board members said in a message post on Facebook. "We look forward to seeing you at the park."

Organizers said a schedule and list of activities for the upcoming event will be released in the coming days.
